He slipped back into the closet when the prospect of a career as a top UFC champion presented itself. He wishes it weren’t true. He believes that a gay identity isn’t possible in the hyper macho world of mixed martial arts, but the sacrifice for fame and glory is worth it. For now. He finds himself paired up with another fighter, Dimitri, as sparring partners. Their relationship moves outside of the ring, as a few post workout beers leads to friendship, and that leads to much more. For Guillaume, Dimitri is almost a literal answer to his prayers, the chance to have a male lover, safe from the prying eyes of the public.
